IEEE
Transactions on Industry Applications
Special Issue on
Security, Reliability, Privacy, and Quality in Industrial Automation and
Control
Scheduled
Publication Time: July/August 2020
Overview
The embedded, implanted, submerged and other all types
of emerging industrial sensing gadgets have realized a number of novel
contemporary technologies including Internet of Things (IoT) and smart
device-enabled industrial applications, such as remote asset monitoring,
predictive maintenance in factory, wearable and implanted biomedical
sensors-enabled health and well-being monitoring, business
intelligence-enabled agriculture and viticulture industrial applications,
infrastructure monitoring applications, aeronautical industrial
applications, power system monitoring, energy system security, power grid
quality, machine control, and their reliability across the globe. The
connectivity of these and many other applications is envisaged to truly
realize the concept of Smart World.
The aim of this special issue is to provide a
multi-aspect up-to-date reference of security, quality, monitoring,
reliability, privacy, trust, and control aspects of industrial
applications. Prospective researchers are invited to submit original and
innovative techniques-based research papers and survey papers for
consideration for publication in this special issue. The call for papers is
open, but not limited, to the following topics:
·
Security hardening of industrial operation and control
·
Security protocols for electrical and electronic
equipment in industrial systems
·
Security, quality, reliability, and control in industry
applications to power grids, energy systems, electric machines and drives
·
Security, quality, reliability, and control in industry
applications to energy efficiency, smart grids, electric vehicles,
sustainable buildings, renewable energies, and energy storage
·

Future perspectives of security, monitoring,
reliability, privacy, and trust issues in industrial applications
Submission Process
Prospective authors who wish to submit a paper for
consideration are advised to first submit an abstract to the Guest Editors
mentioned below. Authors of the accepted abstracts will receive a formal
invitation with detailed guidelines for submission of the complete
manuscript to the IAS ScholarOne Manuscripts site
and execution of the mandatory copyright transfer. All submissions will go
through CrossCheck for similarity check with
previously published content. Refer to
https://ias.ieee.org/images/files/publications/2017-author-info.pdf for
general information about electronic submission. After receiving the
invitation, the invited authors must go to the IAS ScholarOne
Manuscripts site (https://mc.manuscriptcentral.com/ieee-ias) to upload and
submit the manuscript, and execute the IEEE copyright transfer.
