Building on the success of talks periodically organized by individual Technical Committees (TCs), IEEE Consumer Technology Society launched a series of webinars, called Technical Talks of CTSoc, about two years ago. Every one or two months, two of the 15 TCs organize a 1-hour webinar, with the participation of two speakers from their membership, discussing cutting-edge research topics in the field of consumer technology (https://ctsoc.ieee.org/technical/technical-talks.html). Recordings of all the webinars are now available also on IEEE CTSoc YouTube Channel (https://www.youtube.com/@ieeeCTSocTV/videos).

The Industry and Standards Committee has invited Industry Forum speakers to contribute articles of interest to CTSoc and the broader industry community. The first, featured in the May 2025 issue, focused on Large Language Models (“The 1st Industry Forum on Large Language Models in Consumer Technology at IEEE ICCE 2025”). A second article, titled “Mersivity: Wearable AI and Spatial XR for Humanity and Earth” by Steve Mann and colleagues, is forthcoming. These contributions represent an initial step toward developing a publication stream tailored to the needs and interests of industry professionals.
